untitled (7)

Picture an ocean:
Deep and blue.
Now imagine that
Is me and you.

The surface: calm,
Nary a ripple.
Life is good here;
Life is simple.

But then you look
Below the calm;
And soon you realize,
Something’s wrong.

For here there be monsters
In the undersea;
And that’s the biggest part
Of you and me.

  1. Well written and well said, thanks for sharing… in the ocean one will also find adventure, beauty, love and one’s destiny, one should not let a few monsters prevent one from diving in and living…. πŸ™‚

    1. Ah, but my fear is that I would not be diving in and living: I would be diving in and dying — slowly, in the belly of some whale. So instead, I die slowly trying to avoid the Deep of life. What can I say? I’m a superstitious sort.

      Nice quote by the way, and thanks for commenting. πŸ™‚

      1. I see… well, perhaps you need to test the waters by starting at the shallow end and working your way to the deep end…and soon you will realize that whales don’t eat people and the fear is gone… one cannot avoid the deep of life… πŸ™‚
