My story lost its glamour;
My tale is one grotesque.
And now I have to wonder:

As for you, Rachel, you’ve quite the facility with words, calling forth just the right one, and setting it to breathtaking effect. Thus weaving a shimmering tapestry. (Huh – it seems I’ve used hat metaphor before. Little matter – it still is an apt description.)
You say you’re a writer, Rachel, but “goldsmith” may be more fitting.

I find that so hard to believe sometimes. Why would anyone want some flawed, splintering wood, when they can have something beautiful? Well… I guess I’ll just have to keep a lookout for some sandpaper.
