Tiptoe Through the Temper

Heavy footsteps heard; my own grow quiet
There’s no spoken word, but what I say to hide it
We’re all just people, I must believe
But memory dwells on evil, when you rage and seethe

  1. Nice perception, Rachel. Not only does the resonance we allow shape the present moment, but it sets the tone for what we’ll remember later. Whatever the circumstances, we can amplify and even exaggerate its effect, depending on how we greet the news. To a large degree, we select the tenor of the moment’s immortality.
