Noises take on crueller life;
A fall becomes a crash,
And every word becomes a knife
As your downward drift becomes a dash.
"When I am writing, I am trying to find out who I am…" –Maya Angelou
Noises take on crueller life;
A fall becomes a crash,
And every word becomes a knife
As your downward drift becomes a dash.
Gravity exerts a powerful pull, seemingly inexorable at times.
Yet the dreamers’ aspirations remain aloft. Striving. The next time a jet’s engines roar overhead, Rachel, look up and exult in their possibility. Bask in humanity’s shared exuberance.
…and consider what you’ve contributed to the upward trajectory.

The Captain’s switched off the seat belt sign. You’re now free to roam the cabin and visit others. Dining service will begin shortly. Enjoy the flight.

I read that in terms of an emotional downward spiral. Once we get in a bad mood, maybe even depressed, we tend to exaggerate the things around us to dig ourselves an even deeper hole.

I hope your mood is having an upwards trend.
