What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Let go of all your anger;
Its shadow makes an awful home.
Remember what you should remember;
Forgetting everything leaves just you, alone.
Don’t let fear become your object;
The world is scary, but has better prizes.
I’m afraid I haven’t found one yet;
But you’ll do better if you lose my vices.
Wow, those first two lines in particular are incredible, Rachel! Wise, and expressed with such economic grace,
All lines resonate, but the first two are spectacular. Brava!

Amazing writing, Rachel! I think your future holds better days. The teenage years are hard for everyone, even harder for some. ❤

There’s really so much I wish I could warn my teenage self about-but this is worded so beautifully!
