The perspective of youth
Filled with wisdom and hope
And tears that can be wiped away
Friendship unexpected
And innocent trust
Shall usher in a new day.

The Chronicles of Narnia movies are probably some of my favorites, especially The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; I adore the interaction between Lucy Pevensie and Mr. Tumnus. Also, I didn’t mind eternal winter so much.
But before I start rambling about the movies, I’ll get to the point: Lucy is much of what I wish I was. She’s the youngest, yet her age only gives her insight into what her older siblings have hardened their hearts to. She is genuinely kind, and, though frequently protected from true battle, not without bravery. In many ways, she is the most courageous of them all, for she is frequently the champion of what’s right and true, even as others doubt.
Now, if I was anyone, it would probably be Eustace Scrubb. But if I could be anyone, it would be Lucy.
I was thinking of participating in these prompts! Was this the one from yesterday?
I would probably choose SpongeBob SquarePants. I wish I could be a bit more Patrick Star, but I am definitely Squidward š
I watched Narnia a long time ago, but I don remember anything.
But after reading your post, I definitely will have to rewatch it š
I think comparing yourself to a tv show /film character is one of the better ways to describe one self!

You should! They’re fun (and useful) to do on occasion. And yes, it was the prompt from the 10th.
Really? Interesting. Very interesting, the differences between what we want to be, who we think we are, and how others see us.
Ahh. Well, if you do rewatch it, enjoy!

I would of course respond to the prompts with a drawing š I am starting to run out of inspiration.
Are you surprised that I am a Squidward?
Actually, I believe I mentioned it in Goldieās blog party Skype session.
My blog might suggest I am a colourful, happy go lucky, optimistic personā¦. But that couldnāt be further from the truth š
Like Squidward, I am not easily impressed with other people, have a very limited amount of interests and canāt stand āfakeā people š
I do have a few drawings that might suggest this part of my personality.
So yea, definitely interesting how people see us and how we think of ourselves!

Heh. Of course!
I suppose I am surprised. I know I shouldn’t be — you’ve often alluded to that part of yourself, and you’re too clever to be completely carefree. Yet… It’s only one part of a whole. What surprises me is that being the primary part you see. But then, I’m not really one to talk. š

Great prompt, Rachel!
This will require some thought. Whom do I aspire to be, and who am I, in reality? You’ve noticed already there’s quite a gap between the two. Both answers say quite a bit, though.
While I think, you fancy yourself a centaur whisperer, huh? A noble aspiration.

Centaurs, dwarves, fauns. I prefer to think of myself as a non-exclusive whisperer. š
So, you think enough yet?

I’ve never seen that movie or book so it was nice to gain some insight into your wishes for this prompt Rachel.

Oh, never? A shame. There’s several talking animals — though sadly, I can’t recall any squirrels with major parts. At least, not in the movies. The books, for me, are a… work in progress.

How did I miss these? I have not seen a lot of movies that most people have seen. I once mentioned to several of my co-workers I had never seen “E.T.” and someone brought it in the next day saying I might be the only person who never saw that movie!

Eh, I have the same problem with a lot of things. It feels like every movie I’ve never seen, or just plain can’t remember, falls under the *classic” label. Sometimes, “most people” are right, and it was worth a watch, but sometimes, I just don’t get it. Of course, if someone has positive associations with a movie (i. e. watched it as a kid), then naturally they’re going to think it’s the greatest thing ever.
The Chronicles of Narnia movies are the greatest thing ever, by the way. š

I don’t have TV Rachel as I cancelled it in 2010 after my mom passed away. But I do have Amazon Prime so have watched some movies there and I have Peacock Channel with my Comcast which is free and I have not watched anything, but I’d like to watch “Yellowstone”. But like you said one person’s likes are not necessarily yours/mine … like “The Big Chill” which EVERYBODY raved about, especially since it involved University of Michigan and I live in Michigan, but I thought it was just okay. I will tuck that info away for rainy/snowy days!
